Highway Toll scams are on the rise again. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles is alerting motorists of attempts by scammers to hit your pocket with fake toll charges. Phishing attempts through text messages claim to originate from WisDot, hoping to lure consumers to click on fraudulent links and share personal information. NO COST VACCINES AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIERS THROUGH LINCOLN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department is offering no cost vaccines to uninsured or under-insured adults age 19 or over. If you are unsure as to what vaccines you need, the staff at the Health Department can look up your information. Adult Walk-in Vaccine Clinics take place twice a month, and no appointment is needed. EARLY SPRING ICE STORM CAUSES POWER OUTAGES ACROSS THE NORTHWOODS

The early spring wintry mix that hit the Northwoods late Saturday night through Sunday night caused widespread power outages due to downed tree branches and power lines. As of 11PM on Sunday,Wisconsin Public Service reported over 56,000 customers across 17 counties were without power. Crews will continue to work throughout the day on Monday and into the week if necessary until power is restored.
