LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department is reminding residents that smoking can make you more susceptible to cardiovascular risks earlier in life. Additionally, research has shown that including menthol products as a part of your smoking habit increases addiction, making it easier to start and harder to quit, per the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. MERRILL – The City of Merrill Board of Public Works held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 26th. Under Consideration were two bids for city street enhancements. The State Street Reconstruction Project was awarded to Jake’s Excavating & Landscaping LLC, who came in with the low bid. The Water St Resurfacing Project was awarded to American Asphalt of Wisconsin also coming in with the low bid.
