LINCOLN COUNTY – Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 29 traffic stops, 33 security checks, and there were four calls involving cars hitting deer. There were 8 reports of unsafe driving. On Monday March 24th, deputies were dispatched to the N1000 block of Four Mile Dr in the Town of Tomahawk for a reported disturbance in progress. An 80-yr-old female and a 71-yr-old male, both from Tripoli WI were arguing, and as deputies attempted to intervene the woman was consistently uncooperative. MARCH GOES OUT LIKE A LION, CAUSING POWER OUTAGES AND WIDESPREAD DAMAGE

The weekend storms that made their way across the area left a trail of damage across area roads, trees and power lines. State Hwy 64 in Pine River was closed Sunday morning through early afternoon due to a downed power line and an electrical transformer fire just outside the Pine River Fire Department. Though they lost power as a result of the fire and downed lines, the Department was able to switch over to generator power backup.
