Summer has arrived, and that means it’s tick season. The Lincoln County Health Department has compiled a list of tips to help prevent tick bites. While hiking through the great outdoors, residents are encouraged to wear a long sleeve shirt and pants, use a tick repellent with at least 20% DEET, and walk in the center of trails. LINCOLN COUNTY VETERANS SERVICE OFFICE POSTPONING APPOINTMENTS DUE TO OFFICER ABSENCE

Due to the Lincoln County Veterans Service Officer being on Family Medical Leave, the County Veterans Service Office announced on Friday June 6 a temporary postponement of its scheduled outreach appointments. Regular outreach appointment services are scheduled to resume August 14th at Tomahawk City Hall. Appointments that were scheduled for June 12th have now been rescheduled to July 24th.
