NEW PINE CREST BUYER IDENTIFIED AS LINCOLN COUNTY BOARD VOTE SET FOR JUNE 17

MERRILL – Lincoln County Clerk Chris Marlowe released a statement on Friday from the County Administration Office. The statement announced the approval by the Administrative and Legislative Committee to forward an Asset Purchase Agreement and Operations Transfer Agreement to the County Board for Consideration regarding the sale of the Pine Crest Nursing Home.

After a thorough review of financial challenges for both Pine Crest and the County, and consideration of various options, Lincoln County has determined the best option for the future of Pine Crest to continue operating as a skilled nursing facility in Merrill is to transition the ownership to another organization. The County Administrative and Legislative Committee was designated to vet the process of the sale, including working with a Broker to solicit high offers, and keeping in careful consideration quality of care, long standing history in nursing home operations, staff retention and testimony from other facilities staff who were purchased by this organization as well as other factors.

The Administrative and Legislative Committee is pleased to announce that Lincoln County has reached a new agreement to transfer ownership of Pine Crest nursing home to a subsidiary operating company of the Ensign Group, Inc. The agreement will be brought to the County Board for full approval on June 17, 2025, and if approved would be effective August 1, 2025.
