LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT WEEK ENDING JUNE 15

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 30 traffic stops and 17 security checks. There were seven calls involving cars hitting deer.

On Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle crash with injuries in the area of STH 64 and Monteray Dr. The vehicle involved had rolled over and the 48-yr-old female driver from Merrill was ejected and found lying in the ditch. She was transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for treatment. The deputy had noticed signs of impairment, so she followed the ambulance to the hospital to complete her investigation. The woman was unable to complete sobriety tests given the extent of her injuries, resulting in the deputy placing her under arrest for OWI first offense.
