LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT WEEK ENDING SEPTEMBER 14

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops, 23 security checks, twelve calls involving cars hitting deer and one where a car hit a bear.

The Annual Fall Ride took place during the week, and the County saw a number of motorcycle incidents. On Friday deputies were dispatched to CTH S in the Town of Skanawan for a single motorcycle crash with injuries. As deputies arrived they identified the driver, a 52-yr-old Stevens Point man. He had sustained head and arm injuries and was not able to remember what happened. Investigation showed the driver had laid his bike down after failing to negotiate a curve. Though he was wearing a helmet the driver still sustained injuries and was taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital by ambulance.
