Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 20 traffic stops, 28 security checks, and 8 calls involving cars hitting deer. On Friday deputies were dispatched to the 4500 block of STH 17 in the Town of Schley for a one car crash with injuries. The 17-yr-old male driver from Merrill explained to deputies that while traveling northbound on STH 17 he believed he hit a wet spot, then felt the car begin to float and lost control of the vehicle. REGIONAL FIRE CHIEFS SETTLE “WAR ON 64” WAGER, REFLECT ON STUDENT AND COMMUNITY FOCUS

MERRILL – On Tuesday, Antigo Fire Chief Corey Smith traveled to Merrill to settle a friendly wager with Merrill Fire Chief Josh Klug. Smith’s task was to wash a Merrill fire truck after his Red Robins fell to Merrill in the annual “War on 64” rivalry 35-0 at Jay Stadium.
