LINCOLN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS
As a part of their ongoing communication during National Preparedness Month, Lincoln County Emergency Management is encouraging residents to research volunteer or CERT opportunities in our region. CERTs, or Community Emergency Response Teams train neighbors in skills such as fire safety, search and rescue, and first aid. As first responders are not always able to get to the scene of an incident immediately, volunteering can really make a difference and in many instances, can save a life or even lives. Lincoln County has opportunities through local volunteer fire departments, faith-based organizations, and civic groups. The Emergency Management Team once again reminds everyone to stay safe and prepared, as preparedness starts at home.
