DNR STRESSES IMPORTANCE OF SAFETY ON THE ICE DURING WINTER ACTIVITIES
The Wisconsin DNR is urging outdoor enthusiasts to make safety on the ice a top priority. Residents should check local ice conditions with bait shops or clubs, wear proper clothing and equipment, carry safety equipment and have a plan should an ice emergency occur. ATV, UTV and snowmobile operators are advised to proceed slowly, avoid alcohol and to not travel in unfamiliar areas or at night.
