Each year in Wisconsin, unintentional carbon monoxide (CO) poisonings result in an average of around 500 emergency department visits, sometimes resulting in hospitalizations and even deaths. Carbon Monoxide gas can’t be seen or smelled, but it’s very dangerous for people and pets, even to the point of death. With the bitterly cold wind chill temps forecast for this weekend, the Lincoln County Health Department has released the winter 2025-26 list of warming centers in the region (attached). Merrill locations include Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes, the Lincoln County Service Center, the Merrill Enrichment Center, MAC Home homeless center, Riverside Athletic Club, the MARC, T.B.
