Oneida County Closes Trails as Warmer Weather Moves In

Snowfall from last week’s blizzard didn’t stick around too long given the welcome warmer conditions, and neither did the extended snowmobiling season. The Oneida County snowmobile trail system officially closed for the season at 8:00 a.m. yesterday, according to the County Forestry Department. Riders enjoyed an additional week on the trails thanks to record-setting snowfall, however the increase in temps has resulted in the need to close the trail for the season. LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: TOWN OF BIRCH WOMAN ARRESTED FOR BATTERY FOLLOWING DRUNKEN FIT

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 42 traffic stops and 30 security checks. There was one call involving a car hitting a deer. On Sunday, a call was received regarding a drunken and disorderly individual on Ainsworth Ave in the Town of Birch. Initial reports stated Marissa Gronholm was intoxicated and throwing things around the home in attempt to hit people, and at the same time asking that no one call the police.
