WISCONSIN ATV AND UTV RIDERS TO SEE MORE PATROLS THIS WEEKEND

ATV and UTV riders across Wisconsin can expect to see more law enforcement on trails and routes over the Labor Day weekend. Conservation wardens and county recreation deputies will increase patrols Friday through Sunday, with attention focused on unsafe operation, speeding, impaired riding and the use of required safety equipment. The Department of Natural Resources says 31 people have been killed in ATV and UTV crashes in Wisconsin so far this year. Riders are being reminded to stay sober, wear proper safety equipment and follow posted laws and speed limits.

MARATHON COUNTY MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH

A Marathon County man has died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Hatley. Authorities say 60-year-old Allen L. Falkowski was riding near the intersection of Clark Street and Curtis Avenue when the single-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 4:40PM. Emergency crews attempted lifesaving measures, but Falkowski died at the scene. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
