MERRILL MAYOR STEVE HASS ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID
Merrill Mayor Steve Hass announced Monday that he will seek another term in office. Hass shared his decision follows a period of steady progress in the city, pointing to new projects underway, more deliberate decision-making, and a renewed focus on issues residents have identified as priorities. “I am very excited to announce that I am running for re-election as Mayor of the City of Merrill,” Hass said. “We have a lot of great things happening across the city right now—new projects getting off the ground, smarter decisions being made, and a stronger focus on what truly matters to the people who live here. We’re doing all of this while making sure every citizen continues to have a voice”.
The Mayor highlighted efforts from his first term aimed at bringing city staff and the community closer together, along with initiatives designed to strengthen partnerships with local organizations. According to Hass, those relationships have already contributed to new opportunities and continued growth for Merrill. He also emphasizes that the city’s recent momentum has been paired with responsible spending and a commitment to keeping residents involved in the process. Hass says he hopes to build on that progress as he seeks a second term as the city’s Mayor.
“I hope I can count on the continued support of our residents so we can keep building on the progress we’ve started and continue moving Merrill in the right direction.” added Hass.
Merrill’s next Mayoral election is set for April 7th of next year. A primary will be held on February 17th should more than two candidates choose to run for the position.
