WISCONSIN’S GET KIDS READY PROGRAM PROVIDES CHILDCARE FUNDING

Tuesday marked the inaugural launch of Wisconsin’s entirely state funded childcare program, Get Kids Ready. $65 million in direct payments to childcare centers will provide school readiness programming for the 2026-27 school year. According to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, the funding will be put to use by qualified providers who will give focus to developing children’s academic, physical, social-emotional and self-help skills.
