LINCOLN COUNTY – Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops, 59 security checks, and 8 calls involving cars hitting deer. There were 2 reports regarding unsafe driving. On Saturday January 11, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a two-car crash with injuries at the intersection of CTH JJ and Hillside Drive in the Town of Merrill. Investigation showed that the 84-year-old male driver of the eastbound vehicle from Merrill showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for OWI causing injury first offense.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops in the last week. A transport driver was injured after a single vehicle accident in Lincoln County Thursday (June 6th) on County MM in the Town of Corning. The truck, carrying Amazon packages, left the roadway and struck a row of trees. It wasn’t clear why the truck left the roadway.
