Lincoln County Humane Society Releases Statistics for October

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Humane Society has released its statistics for the month of October. LCHA received 35 stray animals and 67 were surrendered. Additionally, six cats were transferred from other organizations, and seven kittens were born on site. A total of 52 pets were reclaimed by their owners, while 56 found new homes through adoption. Three animals were euthanized due to health or behavioral concerns, and four were sent to other shelters for adoption.

Merrill Chamber Board Announces Local Artist Laehn as Christmas Card Contest Winner

MERRILL – The Merrill Chamber of Commerce has named local artist Sandy Laehn as the winner of its 14th Annual Christmas Card Contest for her artwork of the popular Sawmill Brewing Company. Five entries were submitted to the Chamber’s Board, each capturing cherished sites in the Merrill area. This year’s entries also highlighted other unique scenes from the community, including the Lincoln County Humane Society and Auntie Ray’s Coffee House. Details about the contest and purchasing the Christmas cards can be found on the Merrill Chamber Facebook page.
