TOWN OF BRADLEY – The Lincoln County 911 Center received a report of a two car crash with injuries on Thursday. The accident occurred at CTH S on USH 51 in the Town of Bradley. A 19-yr-old male driver from Irma was attempting to merge his vehicle onto USH 51 N/B from the exit 225 on ramp when he came in contact with a N/B vehicle being operated by a 44-yr-old Kaukana, WI woman. LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT WEEK ENDING AUGUST 17

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 71 traffic stops and 25 security checks. There were four calls involving cars hitting deer, and there was one call where a car struck a bear. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in progress in the Town of King on Thursday. A 51-yr-old woman from Tomahawk had reported the incident. AUGUST 15TH ROLLOVER ACCIDENT ON STH 17 LEAVES DRIVER WITH “SIGNIFICANT INJURY”

TOWN OF HARRISON – Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a one car crash with injuries on STH 17 near Braun Rd in the Town of Harrison last Friday. Deputies learned that the 28-yr-old male driver from Rhinelander was traveling N/B on STH 17 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over. Speeding appeared to be a contributing factor in the accident. The driver sustained a significant injury to his left arm and was subsequently transported to the Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital by ambulance.

MERRILL – Merrill Park and Recreation has announced registration is now open for the 42nd Annual COLORAMA Bike Tour. The tour is schedule for Saturday September 27, and takes off from Kitchenette Park on W First St beginning at 8:00 am, with the ride commencing at 8:30. Cost for the event is $30 for registrations received up until September 16, $35 for those received September 17 or after. MERRILL MAN ARRESTED FOR OWI FIRST OFFENSE FOLLOWING REPORT OF UNSAFE DRIVING

TOWN OF SOMO – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous complaint on Wednesday, August 6th regarding a vehicle swerving dangerously on USH 8 in the Town of Somo. MERRILL – The Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 2026 Merrill Tourism Grant Application is now available. Organizations seeking to apply should reach out to the Chamber at manager@merrillchamber.org, or you can simply stop into the Merrill Chamber to pick up an application. MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT WEEK ENDING AUGUST 10

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 13 incidents last week. Officers conducted approximately 50 traffic stops and 124 security checks. There were two instances of theft, three reports of disorderly conduct, four reports of probation violations and bail jumping, a report of a hit and run, and one instance of property damage. During a traffic stop for a registration violation on Wednesday, citations were issued for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. On Thursday, an individual was cited for underage drinking at the Lincoln County Fair.

Now in its 2025 edition, the guide connects consumers with area farms, businesses, and farmers markets offering foods grown or raised close to home.
