The Merrill Police Department responded to seven incidents during the week ending August 2nd. Officers conducted approximately 42 traffic stops and 96 security checks. Officers completed a traffic stop of a vehicle that was speeding on Saturday. The officers learned that the driver was intoxicated while interacting with them during the stop. Friday night around 10:25 pm, a report was received regarding a battery incident at the MARC center during the holiday fireworks celebration.
