LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT: SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON SLIPPERY ROADS LEADS TO MINOR INJURY FOR CHILD
Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 28 traffic stops and 45 security checks. There were eleven calls involving cars hitting deer.
On Tuesday the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a car crash with injuries on State Highway 64 near Monterey Drive in the Town of Pine River. The Deputy who came to the scene spoke with the 44-yr-old male driver from Schofield, who shared while traveling southbound on Monterey Drive his vehicle slid on the slippery road. After continuing through the intersection, his vehicle came to rest in a ditch on the south side of state highway 64. There was a child passenger in the vehicle who was transported by ambulance to Aspirus Merrill Hospital for treatment due to receiving a bump on the head.
