On Friday, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy requested a K9 traffic stop within city limits. K9 Dasty conducted a drug sniff on the vehicle and indicated a positive alert, and a syringe containing methamphetamine was located when the vehicle was searched. Charges are being handled by the Deputy.
Other activity included a water rescue assist, two arrests for probation violations, a citation issued to an individual for depositing snow into the street, and a report from an Amazon driver that he had been bitten by a dog. There were two arrests for operating a vehicle while intoxicated – one of those involving evidence of marijuana and hemp products and the other following a report of an individual hitting a parked vehicle with their car in the parking lot of a local tavern.
