BLUEJAYS STUMBLE IN MOSINEE 10-0 IN BOYS BASEBALL

In a game heard right here on WJMT and wjmtfm.com on Thursday evening, the Merrill Bluejays dropped their fifth straight boys’ baseball game to the Mosinee Indians 10-0 in 5 1/2 innings.  The Bluejays saw their record fall to 3-5 on the season and lost their second straight conference game in the as the season nears the halfway mark.

Bluejay starting pitcher Cooper Wendorf took the loss and was chased in the third inning as the Indians scored six runs on six hits in the frame.  Wendorf was succeeded by AmericInn Player of the Game Brody Klebenow, who departed in the fifth inning after taking a line drive off his left leg.  Eric Grunenwald finished on the mound for the Bluejays, who could only muster two hits off Indians pitching.

The Bluejays return to action Friday afternoon as the Crandon Cardinals come to Athletic Park.  Weather permitting, the pre-game show begins at 4:15 p.m., with the first pitch at 4:30.  You can catch all the action right here on WJMT, wjmtfm.com, and on the WJMT TV Channel on YouTube.
