LINCOLN COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HOSTS 2026 SUMMIT IN MERRILL

The Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation held their 2026 Economic Summit at the Merrill Expo Center on Tuesday, focusing on the theme “Energizing the Small Business Spirit.”

Sara Guild, Executive Director of the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation shared, “This morning we had some great updates, including a report from the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce on the Wisconsin Competitiveness Report. We also had a presentation from Joe Thiel talking about innovation and his experiences at ‘Innovate Marquette’.”

Guild went on to highlight information from the afternoon session, stating “we had a series of educational presentations talking about how to collaborative in Finance, in Marketing, and the benefits of being collaborative for business when you engage with your community.”

The more than 100 local business owners and professionals in attendance received of a full slate of solid business information they can now put into practice to help set them up for future success. The Summit was followed up by “Business After Hours”, a monthly networking event sponsored by the Merrill Chamber of Commerce, also held at the Expo Center.
