The Merrill Police Department responded to seven incidents during the week ending August 2nd. Officers conducted approximately 42 traffic stops and 96 security checks. Officers completed a traffic stop of a vehicle that was speeding on Saturday. The officers learned that the driver was intoxicated while interacting with them during the stop. They also found firearms inside the vehicle. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
