LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: TOMAHAWK MAN ATTEMPTS TO ELUDE OFFICERS, BOOKED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 20 traffic stops and 31 security checks. There were 8 reports of cars hitting deer, and 2 where cars struck a bear.

Deputies were dispatched to the Town of Tomahawk Sunday for the report of a physical disturbance in progress with a child present. The first deputy on scene reported possibly hearing gunshots, and the suspect Scott Hoffman of Tomahawk had fled the scene on foot. A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of a Tomahawk Police Officer, and Hoffman was located and taken into custody. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was turned over to corrections staff and booked for resisting and obstructing an officer, probation violations, misdemeanor bail jumping, and a warrant.
