NORTHCENTRAL TECHNICAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF COMMUNITY SAFETY SIMULATION CENTER IN MERRILL

MERRILL – Northcentral Technical College is taking safety training to the next level with the launch of its new Community Safety Simulation Center in Merrill, part of NTC’s Public Safety Center of Excellence.

The Center is designed to help schools, healthcare facilities, and places of worship better prepare for potential security threats through realistic training and classroom instruction. The 3500 square foot facility has a multi-room space with 360-degree smart screens for custom training scenarios. Teams can utilize the center’s audio-visual capabilities to review their actions and discuss alternative approaches. The program sharpens decision-making and teamwork skills for high-pressure scenarios.

The CSSC was created through a partnership between NTC, the Pennsylvania School Safety Institute, and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, with financial support from the Bierman Family Foundation and Church Mutual’s CM Cares.
