A man is facing multiple charges following a reported domestic disturbance at a local residence Saturday. An officer received a report of the disturbance, which had occurred earlier in the day. On Monday, a female party was arrested for bail jumping following a 911 hang up call, since she had done so numerous times previously and was issued a bail bond stipulating she should not call 911 unless there is an emergency. On Friday, officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Thielman Street for reports of multiple vehicle break-ins and stolen personal items from those vehicles. The investigation surrounding the break-ins is ongoing. Other activity included the issuance of a citation for misuse of 911, and arrests for lewd and lascivious behavior, a probation violation, and resisting and obstructing an officer – all stemming from one incident.…

On Monday, while assisting the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office regarding the whereabouts of a juvenile, an Officer had his squad car damaged by a rock that was thrown by the juvenile when the Officer encountered him. On Sunday, a caller from Marathon County alerted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office that an intoxicated driver was en route to Merrill. A Merrill Police Officer located the vehicle and driver at the driver’s home shortly after the call was received. The Merrill Police Department responded to eleven incidents during the week ending April 26th. Officers conducted approximately 52 traffic stops and 117 security checks. On Friday, a vehicle registration query by an officer revealed the owner had a suspended driver’s license. The officer stopped the vehicle, and during the stop K9 Dasty completed an exterior sniff of the vehicle. The K9 inspection produced a positive alert for an illegal substance, and a search by officers uncovered several methamphetamine items. On Wednesday, officers responded to a residence regarding a report that multiple firearms were missing. Officers spoke to the reporting party regarding the alleged theft, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. Other activity included two arrests for out of area open warrants, two probation violations, an instance of disorderly conduct, and an arrest for OWI 4th offense following a traffic stop.

On Monday October 20th, an officer completed a traffic stop of a vehicle that was speeding and noticed signs of impairment with the driver.
