ONE VEHICLE ROLLS OVER IN MERRILL TWO-CAR CRASH

Tuesday afternoon shortly after 3:30 pm, Merrill Fire Department units were dispatched to the intersection of Center and Main streets in Merrill for a motor vehicle crash that included a vehicle roll over, requiring extrication.

First responders from Medical unit 61 attended to the patient in the rolled vehicle upon arrival. The patient self-extricated from the vehicle with minimal assistance. Personnel from Medical Unit 62 and Engine 61 evaluated the driver of the other vehicle involved to see if medical evaluation was desired or needed. Medical Unit 62 transported the individual from the rolled vehicle to the hospital. The other Department personnel remained on scene for accident debris cleanup, then all units left the scene returning to service.

Also assisting at the accident side for traffic control were Officers from the Merrill Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies.
