Wausau Man Jailed After 130 MPH Chase in Lincoln County
What was intended to be a traffic stop for a driver with open warrants for his arrest suddenly turned into a high-speed chase on U.S. Highway 51 for a Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy last week. As the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver instead accelerated and fled. A pursuit ensued, with speeds reaching up to 130 miles per hour.
