Former Lincoln Hills – Copper Lake Youth Counselor Charged On Two Felony Counts

Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake School youth counselor Evan White has been charged with physical abuse of a child causing bodily harm and substantial battery, both felonies. White, who made his first court appearance Tuesday in Lincoln County Circuit Court is currently free on a $1,000 signature bond The 44-year-old White injured a 17-year-old female student back on April 15th. Merrill Police Department Report For Week Ending June 30

The Merrill Police Department responded to 11 incidents last week. One call was for a missing person at an assisted living residence. The person was located later outside of the facility, as they hadn’t been signed out properly. Three calls were received for domestic disturbances and disorderly conduct, one resulting in a man receiving a citation for OWI. Merrill Fire Department Report For Week Ending June 30

The Merrill Fire Department responded to 41 calls last week. This brings the total for 2024 to 1092 calls. One call was for a motor vehicle accident resulting in an injury. There were 37 calls requesting EMS services. There was one alert from an alarm system activation that was unintentional with no fire on site. There was one call regarding a downed power line. One building fire was also reported.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Report For Week Ending June 30; Disorderly Conduct Incident Leads To Damage Of County Vehicle

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 38 traffic stops last week. There were 12 crashes, one in the Town of Pine River where a 25-year-old Waupaca man was injured when he lost control of his motorcycle. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. There was also a disorderly conduct incident in the Town of Somo involving a heavily intoxicated 24-year-old male resisting arrest.
