Merrill Police Department Report Week Ending October 6

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 18 incidents last week. One accident was reported. There were two reports of domestic disturbance and disorderly conduct. There was one report for theft and one instance of a resident finding a cell phone and taking it to the police department. Two calls were received for suspicious activity. Merrill Common Council Votes in Favor of Removing Pines on Memorial Drive

MERRILL – During their Tuesday evening October 8 City of Merrill Common Council meeting, the Council voted 7-1 in favor of removing the red pine trees located on the east side of the Fairgrounds along Memorial Drive. The Rodeo Association has donated decorative fencing which will be placed around the perimeter of the fairgrounds.
