TRIPOLI – On Monday June 24th, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Belle Rd in Tripoli regarding a report of an extremely intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance. The report of the incident came in from the suspects Mother and Stepfather, who had been allowing him to stay with them and were asking for help to get him into treatment. Lincoln County Public Safety Committee June 12 Meeting Summary

MERRILL – The Lincoln County Public Safety Committee held their monthly meeting on Wednesday June 12. One item of focus at the meeting was the Emergency Management Plan of Work. After reviewing the report, discussions took place regarding climate change, and the frequency, intensity and severity of storms. Merrill Man Arrested For Battery and Disorderly Conduct In June 23 Incident

MERRILL – On Sunday June 23, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a disorderly conduct complaint regarding a situation that was taking place at the Prairie View Motel in Merrill. The reporting person stated that an 86 year old Merrill man threw a bottle of medication at her while she was in her vehicle. MERRILL – Merrill Police officers were contacted by a local business on West Main Street on Monday June 20 regarding a resident in the store being highly intoxicated. An Officer who located the vehicle made contact with the male subject, who was found to have a 0.02 blood alcohol restriction. The driver displayed signs that indicated impairment, however he refused field sobriety tests. He was arrested for 6th offense operating while under the influence and threats to law enforcement. MERRILL – On Monday June 24, A Merrill man that was involved in a domestic incident fled the scene, resulting in a vehicle pursuit. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were notified of an individual who had sustained injuries consistent with battery and strangulation being treated at Aspirus Merrill Hospital. The reported also stated that the victim had also been threatened with a gun. MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 11 incidents this past week. One call was for a female party entering a residence without consent, resulting in a citation being issued for trespassing. Five calls were received for domestic disturbances and disorderly conduct, with one of those resulting an arrest of a man for 6th offense OWI and making threats to law enforcement. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Report For Week Ending June 23; Tomahawk Man Placed Under Arrest For 3rd OWI

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 54 traffic stops this past week. There were two crashes, one involving two vehicles that resulted in a 47-year-old Tomahawk man being placed under arrest for 3rd offense OWI, and the second involving a 65-year-old driver losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a guard rail. TOWN OF BRADLEY – A very strong line of storms made their way across the Northwoods early Tuesday morning, bringing heavy rain, lightning and earth-shaking thunder. MERRILL – Merrill High School has announced that the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin has recognized 5 members of the Bluejay golf team. Recipients of the association’s 2024 Academic All-State honors include Parker Klebenow, Jacob Schmeltzer, Chase Klebenow, Evan Elliott & Colton Burrows. The 5 Merrill students are among a total of 421 students from 137 high schools who also received Academic All-State honors.
