Weston Man Charged in Shooting, High-Speed Chase

A Weston man is facing attempted homicide and several other felony charges following a shooting and a high-speed pursuit in Marathon County.

Twenty-three-year-old Jacob Lo is accused of shooting a person outside the M&R Station in Wausau on August 2nd. The victim was able to drive to a hospital for treatment. Investigators say surveillance video linked Lo to the shooting and a vehicle seen leaving the scene.

Lo was arrested three days later after officers spotted him in Wausau. He allegedly led police on a chase that reached 120 miles per hour before crashing into a squad car in Weston and fleeing on foot.

The pursuit caused several crashes and a near-miss during heavy traffic. Lo is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, firing a gun from a vehicle, fleeing an officer and reckless endangerment. He’s being held on a 250-thousand-dollar cash bond and returns to court August 17th.
