Merrill Schools Schedule Open Houses and Orientation Events

Merrill Area Public Schools will hold several open house and orientation events next week as families prepare for the new school year.

Merrill High School will hold its open house Monday, August 24th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A meeting for parents of freshmen will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 that evening.

On Wednesday, August 26th, Prairie River Middle School will hold WEB Day, an orientation for fifth-grade students and students new to grades six through eight. WEB Day runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is for students only. Lunch will be provided, although students may bring a cold lunch. Students are asked to dress comfortably and leave backpacks, purses and technology at home.

Prairie River Middle School will then hold its family open house from 2 to 7 p.m.

Also Wednesday, Prairie River School for Young Learners will hold an open house from noon to 6:30 p.m., while Kate Goodrich Elementary will welcome families from 4 to 6 p.m.

Washington Elementary will also hold a supply drop-off event Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
