LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT WEEK ENDING SEPTEMBER 7

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 40 traffic stops, 74 security checks, seven calls involving cars hitting deer and one where a car hit a bear.

On Saturday a deputy completed a traffic stop for speeding in the Town of Pine River on STH 64 at Ackley Rd. As he approached the 32-yr-old male driver from Green Bay, the deputy notice signs of impairment so he asked the driver to perform sobriety tests which he agreed to. Test results led the deputy to place the driver under arrest for OWI first offense, and he was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and turned over to corrections officers.
