MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT: DISORDERLY CONDUCT INCIDENT INVOLVING FIREWORKS

The Merrill Police Department responded to ten incidents during the week ending April 19th. Officers conducted approximately 41 traffic stops and 53 security checks.

On Sunday, officers responded to a local apartment to confront a male party regarding a noise complaint, and reports of the male party sending texts threats to a female party in a different apartment. The officers were not able to make contact with the suspect, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Other activity included three arrests for probation violations and active warrants, and two reports of theft, one of those a possible attempted burglary at a residence by previous tenants. There were four instances of disorderly conduct, one including possession of unlawful fireworks and another where the suspect was arrested for resisting arrest and bail jumping.
