MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT: THREE INCIDENTS AT LINCOLN COUNTY FAIR

The Merrill Police Department responded to 14 incidents during the week ending August 2nd. Officers conducted approximately 24 traffic stops and 91 security checks.

Officers responded to the report of a domestic altercation in Merrill on Tuesday where a male and female were yelling and throwing things. The male was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Other activity included a false report of odor from the use of an illegal substance,  two instances of theft, two lost and found reports, and a call for large bills found on the street that turned out to be counterfeit. Two instances of disorderly conduct were reported during the week. There were two motor vehicle accidents in Merrill on Tuesday, neither of them led to injuries.  Two fights and an underage alcohol related incident occurred at the Lincoln County Fair.
