DNR URGES RESIDENTS TO USE LOCAL FIREWOOD ONLY

The Department of Natural Resources is reminding residents to use local firewood this fall, in an effort to avoid the spread of invasive species. Firewood is a prime carrier of spongy moth, emerald ash borer, and invasive fungi. Untreated firewood that is removed from the the tree where it was harvested can contain fungi that later emerge to attack trees at the new site. MERRILL ENRICHMENT CENTER TO HOST FALL CRAFT MARKET SATURDAY

MERRILL – The Merrill Enrichment Center’s Fall Craft Market will take place this Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm. More than 50 vendors will be at the market displaying local handcrafted, homemade & homegrown crafts, and a number of food trucks will also be on site. The Enrichment Center is located at 303 N. DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE IN TOWN OF BRADLEY ENDS WITH CHARGES OF DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT, CHILD ABUSE

TOWN OF BRADLEY – On Wednesday September 17, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Cottage Rd in the Town of Bradley regarding a domestic disturbance. The reporting party stated that a 46-yr-old man from Tomahawk had been arguing with his oldest daughter at a local establishment, then returned to his home where he continued to argue with the rest of his family. MERRILL – During the week ending September 21, the Merrill Police Department responded to 21 incidents, while officers conducted approximately 30 traffic stops and 85 security checks. There were five reports of Disorderly Conduct, one of those with a motor vehicle.
