On Tuesday, a caller reported her brother hit her mother with a key lanyard causing injury to her leg. Investigation revealed the juvenile son swung the lanyard at his mother’s leg during a disagreement about vehicle usage. The juvenile was referred to Lincoln County Social Services. On Tuesday, a report was received from a local convenience store regarding an elderly woman on site who was visibly shaken and said she was not able to drive. On Friday, a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy requested a K9 traffic stop within city limits. K9 Dasty conducted a drug sniff on the vehicle and indicated a positive alert, and a syringe containing methamphetamine was located when the vehicle was searched.
