GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR CWA’S NEW TERMINAL BUILDING SET FOR THIS WEDNESDAY
A significant groundbreaking event for business travelers, medical flight technicians and pilots, and other private and charter flyers across the central portion of the state is scheduled to take place in Mosinee Wednesday.
Members of the media along with other local figures will be on hand tomorrow for a ceremony at the Central Wisconsin Airport, marking the beginning of construction on the airport’s new 6800 square foot private and non-commercial General Aviation Terminal Building. The new structure, which will offer upgraded amenities, replaces the current facility built in 1971.
The cost of the project is estimated at $6.6 million, with most of its funding coming from the Federal Infrastructure, Investment, and Jobs Act. The new terminal represents a considerable investment in CWA’s infrastructure and will strengthen services for private aviation customers and improve operational efficiency. It also supports Central Wisconsin economic growth. Construction is set to be completed by December of this year.
Ovation, the fixed-base operator that provides multiple services for private aviation at CWA will continue to operate the new terminal.
The ceremony begins at 11:30 AM at 300 Aviation Way in Mosinee.
