Bluejay Boys Drop Double-Header to Plover 

In a pair of games heard right here on WJMT and wjmtfm.com, a depleted Merrill Bluejays Post 46 squad dropped a pair of conference baseball games to Plover, losing the first game 13-0 in 4 1/2 innings and the nightcap after a short rain delay 12-1 also in 4 1/2 innings.  The losses saw the Bluejays record fall to 2-8, while the Black Sox of Plover saw their record increase to 8-6. DNR Launches Holiday Boating Safety Campaign

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is stepping up patrols on lakes and rivers during the Independence Day weekend as part of the nationwide Operation Dry Water campaign. From July 3rd through the 5th, conservation wardens will work alongside other law enforcement agencies to crack down on impaired boating through increased patrols, safety checks and public education. State officials say alcohol continues to be a major factor in fatal boating crashes. Last year, alcohol was involved in one-third of Wisconsin’s 15 deadly boating incidents. 67-Year-Old Prentice Man Dies in Worcester Lake Drowning Saturday

The Price County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding a drowning on Worcester Lake in the Township of Hackett on Saturday. A report was received at 4:30 PM stating a 67-year-old Prentice man had gone missing and was believed to be on the lake. Following a search of the lake conducted by multiple agencies, the body of the man was located, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
